Numph Clothing

This is numph: clothes with soul and personality. What we do today, is indeed our dream come true: we are free to design our ideal type of clothes - there are no limitations. Our dream was to create a brand from scratch, which is different and stronger simply because nümph sums up our experiences and creativity: cutting edge, twisted, feminine and rough, vulnerable and strong. Like the nymphs in the fairy-tales who fearlessly and very confident of their own strength run through the forest - these are the thoughts behind nümph.

Trusting our own creativity and professional skills, we dare to live out our dreams. Experimenting with shapes, details and print is the sum of our individual experiences. Like the nymphs who play in the clear water of the brook and see themselves reflected in the smooth surface - this is how nümph clothes are created. We create clothes - this is our passion. Because what we find dashing and useful will become dashing and useful to others, when we put our hearts into it. We create the clothes for our own reflection of the tough, beautiful and independent girl who, like us, loves to draw attention to herself by means of her own personal style.

Like all nymphs who are strong as giants and gentle as angels because their hearts are in everything they do. This is nümph: driven by will and the desire to create those favourite and indispensable items that simply last time and again - this is our passion.

Stone-Dri

Stone-Dri History

Stone-Dri began back in the 1940’s when a family of four brothers, trading under the Joseph Stone and Co Ltd name, started to create a quality outerwear brand from their factory in Salford Manchester. The overcoats they produced were practical, functional and dapper, perfectly complimenting the working gentleman’s conformed 1940’s wardrobe, as well as being suitable for the football terraces of the time. As the 1950s approached and families’ lifestyles improved, so did the demand for quality outerwear and the Joseph Stone and Co business began to thrive, opening over 100 retail outlets across the North West and Midlands. By the late 60s Fosters menswear had bought the Stone-Dri business and began rolling out the brand through their stores. It was at this stage that the brand was absorbed into the Fosters business and lost its visibility as the stand alone brand. Then in 2002 Joel Brown, owner of Baker Street Clothing, found an advert on the cover of an old 1953 football program advertising Stone-Dri. This triggered off the inspiration for a rebirth of this classic brand.

Stone-Dri Today

Stone-Dri has been adopted into the right family. Baker Street, the company behind it, has a wealth of experience and expertise in producing outerwear. With over 25 years’ experience, this Manchester based company has considerable sourcing, design and technical capabilities. The company has in-house sampling facilities, allowing them to create patterns and samples on site, ensuring that all garments have correct detail and fit. The company also has long standing relationships with factories across Europe and Asia, allowing the brand to retain consistently high quality production and timely deliveries. To ensure high quality, performance and durability all fabrics used in Stone-Dri garments are tested to British standards and international standards for performance and restricted substances standards RSS and all factories used for producing Stone-Dri garments are annually inspected to the ETI (Ethical Trade Initiative) base code. This is founded on the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and is an internationally recognised code of labour practice.

Gabicci Clothing

First launched in 1973, Gabicci fast became an underground style leader and embodied a look adopted by the 'Northern Soul' music scene. In the '80's the brand appeared in the early 'casuals' look. Teamed with the hopsack trouser, Gabicci and the iconic metal G quickly became the brand mark of the day. Lately, several key music style leaders and sportsmen have been spotted wearing Gabicci Vintage, and the brand featured heavily in the new Nick Love re-make of the '80's film 'The Firm'.

Through this continuing association both with football and the young music scene, Gabicci Vintage is again the brand to be seen in. Current designs pay homage to key original knitted styles complete with mock suede trims, together with jersey tops and polos inspired by archive photographs and original samples, all bearing the iconic gold 'G'. The look is 'slim' with quality yarns and fabrics used throughout the collection in colours which are both rich and bright.

Polo shirts are in 100% cotton, whilst the knitwear is finely knitted cotton with a cashmere-like finish or high quality merino wool blends.
